2008 Twin Cities Marathon ... in the books ...
Yesterday was the marathon. The very wet and windy marathon. I'm beginning to think I have a habit of attracting bad weather at the events I take part in.

The race went well. I ran the first half of the race with my friend Greger, taking it pretty easy at the start and easing into a steady pace. After starting at the wrong end of the Corral 1 pack, we were able to catch up to the 3:30 pace group by mile 11. We both stayed on pace with this group until the half-way point, then I decided to push it a bit for the last half. I had ambitions of catching the 3:20 pace group before the finish, but came up a bit short in the end. I haven't pulled down the official results yet, but I think I finished in 3:22~.
All in all, it was a fun day...and like usual, after finishing I immediately began planning out how I can run a faster race next time!
It seemed that Team Sjogren was around every corner cheering and playing charge! Here's a picture of 2/3rds of the crew in action:
